RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY  

We hope that you will be delighted with your order. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, we are happy to offer a return/ exchange but only on the regular price items and misdelivered items.

Once you receive your order, you are responsible to check all items that listed on the invoice are match with those contained in your package. If your order is being misdelivered, please contact us within 24 hours after receipt of the delivery. Please note all damaged items are considered non-returnable/ non-exchangeable; should you want to repair the items, you can refer to Repair Policy.

Important Note:

Each regular price item that identified as returnable/ exchangeable or non-returnable/ non-exchangeable is shown on individual product page. You are expected to read the product details carefully before proceeding to checkout and confirming the purchase.

RETURN & EXCHANGE REQUEST

Return & Exchange can be requested by the purchaser only. If you want to return/ exchange an item, please send us your return & exchange request in writing with invoice number, specific reason for return & exchange, along with photos (do not over 1MB) and product code of the replacement item you selected from THEHANDMAKER.com within 48 hours after receipt.

Once your Return & Exchange request is sent, you will receive a written Return & Exchange Request Notification released by THE HANDMAKER. With this notification, you will be given a reference number that identify your refund request for your future follow-up and informed that whether you request will be proceeded further or not. If your request is deemed returnable/ exchangeable, you will be asked to send back the item(s) for inspection. If your request will not be proceeded meaning the request will not be accepted. You do not have to send us the item(s) for return & exchange.

Important Note:

THE HANDMAKER reserves the right to refuse or decline a return & exchange request if any of the above proving documents has not been provided. Before you send us your request, please make sure the goods you want to return & exchange are in a saleable condition, and in their original and undamaged packaging. All sale goods, floristic items, foods and delivery-caused damaged items are considered non-returnable/ non-exchangeable. If you want to get the delivery-caused damaged items repaired, please refer to Repair Policy.

While we list out the principal material(s) and color(s) of the product(s) as best as we can, the material information provided is informed by the suppliers and/or the source of the products. THE HANDMAKER will not be responsible for any incorrect/ missing material information. If any irritation occurs, you should stop using the product and consult with your doctor immediately. We do not provide any refund or return & exchange for all unhealthful situations. Once the packaging of the following products is opened, for reasons of hygiene and safety, we are unable to return/ exchange the items:
  • pierced jewelry
  • bedding
  • home décor
  • personal articles * Subject to THE HANDMAKER’s definition of personal articles (i.e. underwear – any kinds of underclothing, eyeshade, gloves, socks, shoes, etc.)

RETURN & EXCHANGE PROCEDURE

Please pack the item(s) you wish to return/ exchange and send back in its original and undamaged packaging with the original copy of the invoice and post to Room 907, Silvercord Tower II, 30 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong (pay attention to THE HANDMAKER). Please be reminded to obtain proof of postage from your carrier. We do not accept any responsibility for item lost in transit.

When we received your item(s) for return & exchange, we shall proceed to determine if the item(s) is/are returnable/ exchangeable and check the availability of the replacement item. Whether your request is accepted or not, we will inform you with a Return and Exchange Notification email.

For item(s) that is/ are considered non-returnable/ exchangeable, you will be responsible to cover the shipping fees incurred if you want to retrieve the item(s). We will notify you to settle the suitable amount for shipping before we return the non-returnable/ exchangeable item(s) to the original order delivery address.

Important Note:

All items returned as faulty and we deem damaged as a result of fair wear and tear will not be accepted for refund, repair and return & exchange. THE HANDMAKER reserves the right to reject any refund at any time.

PAYMENT PROCEDURE FOR RETURN & EXCHANGE

Once your refund request is accepted and confirmed by us, the return shipping fee for return & exchange item(s) will be covered by THE HANDMAKER. Should the value of the replacement product(s) is/are higher than the originally purchased product(s) you will be asked to cover the price difference. On the contrary, if the replacement item(s) is/are of lower value than the original item(s), no refund will be given. Your replacement item(s) will be dispatched when your payment is settled.

For unaccepted return & exchange request, THE HANDMAKER will issue a money transfer request through the PayPal. You will have to pay USD$7 for the return shipping fee and handling charge before we return and dispatch the product(s). THE HANDMAKER will only safe keep the to-be-return items for 60 days starting from the date THE HANDMAKER receives the item(s). Should no one settle the return shipping payment within this custody period; all unclaimed items will be confiscated by THEHANDMAKER.com.

DEFINITION OF TIME ON THEHANDMAKER.com

To avoid argument, confusion and misunderstanding raised from different time zone in different countries, any purchase, payment transaction, delivery, return shipping, email correspondence, email notification, update, announcement, return & exchange, refund and repair, and etc. through THEHANDMAKER.com is strictly according to actual local Hong Kong Time (GMT +8 hours).
